Gickedy Gackedy Goodness December 17 2012
Gak = Ooky Gooky Squooshiness Nobody can resist...
Gak. I love the Gak. My kids love the Gak. Nobody can keep their hands of the Gak! It is cold and squishy, slippy, but not sticky, it stretches, it breaks, it melts, it forms.
We took the boys out to eat for a rainy afternoon pizza with friends. We kept all the kids busy with the Gak, not to mention all the kids at neighboring tables. I gave the recipe away to two other families. It takes 10 minutes, you can play with it right away, and it stays good in a ziplock bag for a long time. No need to refrigerate.
(Disclosure: keep away from hair, clothing, carpet etc. It can have its way when it settles in)It has passed many hours on long flights, entertained my children (and those at neighboring tables) while dining out with friends, and given me at least an extra hour preparing a holiday meal. It's gicky gucky, squishy, weird fun, and its easy to make! No cooking, just gicky mixing! (take your rings off!)
